I have a steady income through affiliate relationships, thanks to my large social media following. My audience, of primarily older male customers, are interested in products that support their sexual health. I know this from looking at my analytics on my social platforms and by the amount of revenue I generate each month from my partnerships with companies specifically aimed at the older, male demographic.

For those unfamiliar with affiliate marketing, it’s a system where a product or service pays a commission to people who refer customers. This is usually tracked through a unique URL that records the number of referrals and, more importantly, the purchases made through those links.

Exploring these alternatives has shown me just how versatile and powerful Link in Bio tools can be, far beyond simply listing links. Whether you need a polished portfolio, a streamlined storefront, or advanced features like lead magnets and direct sales, there’s a platform to suit every need.

One of the most popular affiliate programs is Amazon’s. They’ve made it relatively simple to select products, and you earn a percentage of every sale. They even offer an influencer programme where you can create your own shopfront with a unique URL (website address) to share in your social media bio. For example, I created a bookstore some time ago featuring books written by members of Advantages of Age.

But what if you don’t want to use Amazon Affiliate links? Maybe you’ve signed up for other platforms like Impact, Shopify Collabs, or AWIN, which connect influencers, whether micro or macro, with brands looking for partnerships. Over time, I’ve ended up with an Airtable full of links to products I’ve recommended and needed a way to display them so my followers could easily find what they’re looking for.

But what if you’re juggling multiple affiliate platforms, like I am, and want to create something truly bespoke - a way to maximise your earnings, organise your links seamlessly, and offer your followers a better experience? That’s exactly what I’ve done, and I’m happy to share how I made it happen…
