PR Opportunity: Seeking Self-Employed Over 60s
Startup School for Seniors is open for enrollment. If you want to attend again, would welcome a refresher and to meet a bunch of new people; we look forward to seeing you. It would be great to see you if you were part of the last cohort or came on the programme years ago.
I’m working with Newspage, putting together an article for a major national newspaper about people who have set up their own businesses in their 50s or 60s.
Perhaps this is because they were made redundant and couldn't get a new job (or needed a flexible job that allowed them to care for someone), perhaps it was a lifestyle choice, or maybe they launched a side hustle during the cost-of-living crisis to bolster their income (or because interest—and mortgage—rates rose so sharply).
The article will be pegged on new research by Rest Less showing that the number of self-employed individuals aged 60 and older has surged by 33% over the past decade.
If this is you, please tell us about the business you set up and why you set it up. There's a good chance you'll be featured. This article will be syndicated widely, so there is an opportunity for local and national media exposure.
The deadline is 23:00 on 1 September.
